Hey everyone thanks for being so patient with us! Cindy has been very busy and we are excited to say that Nashville Cooks is officially a business in TN! I got to see a mock up of the first issue and I am so excited about it. We are also happy to announce our facebook page and our new twitter account. We are working on the website and will hopefully have it up and running by May at the earliest.
There are going to be a lot of things happening as we work towards our August launch. Please keep praying for us and thank you for all your support!

Busy, Busy, Busy!
Hi everyone!
So sorry I haven't posted in a few days, things are really getting crazy! Let me catch you up. I am excited to have Michael Dettner on board as our restaurant & bar reviewer! This will be a fun & informative column & Michael was the perfect choice! We've also been working on the "backpage"...it will be Fun Food Facts & trivia. Julian & Laura will be heading this one up & if you've ever been to a TriviaTime! game you know they will bring lots of fun to the magazine.
This week brings lots of "official" business, as well. I am applying for my business license & trademarking Nashville Cooks! We are excited to take this next step & truly appreciate all of the support we have received!
Stay tuned & Happy Cooking!

The craft of the cocktail
Hi everyone!
We have been putting together our drink-related columns and I am ecstatic with what we have decided upon. Kristie Brooks will be doing a column showing us how to pair innovative cocktails with delicious, easy appetizers. Kristie is a Nashville native and a wonderfully creative mixologist. This column will be tons of fun! We are also working on an "Ask the Bartender" mailbag column. Sam Malone (pen name) will be heading this one up, and I am guessing this one will make us all laugh at times. "Sam" can be quite the comedian.
More to come soon, so stay tuned and keep cooking!

Couponing
Good morning everyone!
I am pleased to announce that April McKinney Ellis is going to write a column and share all of her money-saving strategies. April is a renowned couponing "Queen"and we are so excited to have her on board. This is going to be a fun column and one that should help us all navigate into the coupon world with success. I, for one, have come to rely on my coupons and look forward to learning better ways to incorporate them into a weekly meal plan.
Things are starting to move pretty fast...it's still exciting, but quite overwhelming. I'll have more news soon!

Here we go!
Hi everyone! Thanks for following and I hope I can keep it entertaining!
I am learning more in a day putting this magazine together than I learned in all my years of schooling. This is quite a project. I have most of my staff put together, still lacking some major roles, but I feel confident I will find the right people.
I am so excited to have Brian Owens writing a column. Brian was named one of the most influential people in Indianapolis and now heads up the Nashville Film Festival. He is going to do a column similar to the old t.v. show Dinner and a Movie. We are still tweeking his title, but I think it is going to be great!! I love the idea of having date night at home with a great dinner and a great movie. It is also kinder on the wallet!
I will be posting recipes in the future and I will definately want some feedback! I am hoping to be able to put together a food pairing and menu planning column to help take some of the guesswork out of preparing dinner. It's all about making it fun, easy, and delicious!
Stay tuned so we can get cooking!

Welcome to my blog!
Hello!
My name is Cindy Montgomery and I absolutely love cooking magazines. At one point, I had a subscription to 12 incredible magazines. Saveur and Fine Cooking were two of my faves. I wasn't always able to reproduce the recipes with stellar results, but the magazines still became my friends. I love reading about food. I could seriously read an entire magazine about artichokes. However, the current state of the economy has forced me to forgo my beloved friends. I truly miss my magazines and, thus, have decided to create my own. My own FREE cooking magazine!
This is going to be an exciting adventure for me and I am looking forward to sharing my experience with all of you!
Thank you for supporting this endeavor!
